We Stand by Our Good Name
Since opening our doors nearly 70 years ago, the Olsen name has been known for strength, dependability, and service. Our founder, Gene Olsen, was an ironworker from the Twin Cities who started splicing wire rope slings in his garage and sold them to local contractors and construction companies.
The area’s construction industry grew, and so did his business. You can read the whole Olsen story here.
And now, 70 years later, we’re still seeing Olsen equipment used by contractors and construction companies in some of the most fundamental ways. Olsen equipment is supporting heavy lifting on construction projects high above traffic in downtown Minneapolis. It’s keeping high risk operations safe in warehouses and workshops, giving strength that companies can rely on so they can safely maneuver heavy materials. Olsen’s good name and quality materials are are keeping operations safe across the country.
Dependable in daily operations.
Strong in high-demand environments.
Customized to meet the needs of our customers.
At Olsen, we are constantly ensuring the quality of our products. We’re always testing, always researching, always inspecting, always working. Part of safety, reliability, and service in our business is innovation. But innovation can’t happen without our values at the center. We are committed to solving problems in a way that improves efficiency without compromising safety standards. And while our equipment is only as safe as the people who are using it, we take every precaution possible. Our equipment is strength-tested and our products are uncompromised in quality and craftsmanship.
The work that Gene Olsen started doing back in 1950 came because he saw the need for exceptional quality and dependable service. He saw a need and knew he could meet it. And we’ve been doing it ever since. At Olsen Chain & Cable, we’ll always carry Gene’s standard of safety, reliability, and service in our work, and our customers can depend on that.
